Tomer was born in Eilat, Israel, and lived there until the age of 9 when he moved to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States.

After graduating with a degree in Computer Animation from the Art Institute of Philadelphia in June, 2001. Tomer mailed a number of submissions to various companies, and thanks to a quick response by Renae Geerlings of Top Cow, Tomer was able to make the big move to Hollywood California to start an Editorial Internship at Top Cow. After his internship was over, Tomer was able to begin a second internship at Top Cow as an Inker. Tomer later went on to become an Assistant Inker for Batt.

Tomer is currently working as a freelance artist, focusing on custom commission work and his own original projects.
